I was born in the city of Clarksdale, in the Mississippi Delta, raised on Chicago’s South and West sides. My background includes global work in cinema, photojournalism, publishing and advertising. I am the founder of blacknussnetwork.com and blacknuss.tv.
My recent and past work includes; associate producer for the Radha Bharadwaj film, Space Moms (2021); production consultant for Kofi Ofosu-Yeboah’s Public Toilet Africa (2021); Camera and local production for the 2018 award winning documentary, United Skates by Dyana Winkler and Tina Brow; local producer for series episodes Paris based Effervescence Production’s Future Mag series for France Arté, 2017-18; consultant for the THE MARCH, director John Akomfrah’s 50 Anniversary March on Washington documentary produced by Robert Redford, March 2013; local producer of the American Masters film, The World of Nat King Cole (2006); producer and director of music videos, short documentaries, augmented reality and 3D animations projects; pre-visualization and effects for the Jean-Pierre Bekolo feature, Cameroonian sci-fi film Les Saignantes/The Bloodettes (2005); Researcher and advisor on on the pioneering black science fiction/Afrofuturism documentary, Last Angel of History by John Akomfrah; associate producer to Julie Dash, on the award winning Daughters of the Dust (1992); providing production support for foreign film and news crews for BBC, France Arte, ZDF and Japans NHK; augmented reality and 3D animations projects.
