Filmmaker/Multimedia/Internet Designer/Consultant
 From Clarksdale, Mississippi Delta and raised on Chicago's Southside, Floyd Webb's background includes global work in cinema, photojournalism, publishing and advertising. He has found all of these experiences useful as a convergent worker, designer and consultant for the Internet.

      After a 10-year career as a photojournalist Floyd was founder and creative director of the Blacklight Festival of International Black Cinema. From 1984-1995 the festival was one of the most critically acclaimed festivals of it's kind during that period.

       Floyd was an associate producer of the award winning Julie Dash Film, Daughters of the Dust(US 1992), and developed the Geechee Girls Multimedia website in 1995. He works as a consultant in film programming and online issues for The Raindance Festival of Independent Cinema in London and The Black Filmmaker Magazine Film Festival in London (http://blackfilmmakermag.com).

      While working in London from 1994-2000 Floyd worked with various new media start-ups such as Studio Blank, headed by music producer David M. Allen (The CURE) in the stylish Fitzrovia area developing new media projects for various bands.
      He has also worked with the 3D animation house MESH Interactive in Battersea as a project manager and sales associate with designers such as Tom Hamlyn, Max McMullin and the well-known Dave McKean. He co- produced and co-directed Julie Dash's 10-minute trailer Digital Diva, based upon her original screenplay with MESH.

      Floyd worked with filmmakers such as John Akomfrah, St. Clair Bourne, Julie Dash, Jean Pierre Bekolo and Spike Lee doing research and production work on documentary, drama and short films.

       He has lectured on African American Cinema History at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and on Convergence and New Media at the London School of Printing and the Institute of Contemporary Art. In summer of 2004, he presented a lecture on Blaxploitation Cinema at the Siskel Film Center in downtown Chicago.

      He served as a panelist at the Sundance 2000 Panel on Web Distribution; Short Films and the Internet for Digital Coast 99, which took place at the Director's Guild of America in Los Angeles (http://digitalcoast99.com) and participated on similar panel with ResFest at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Additionally he has been a panelist and keynote speaker in New Media at UCLA Santa Barbara and at UCLA Irvine from 200-2007

 He is the Creative Director and founder of e22 Digital(http://itutu.com), a multimedia company he founded to pursue his particular interest in convergent media. Floyd has worked as a producer/director of TV commercials, music videos and produced spot news for foreign film crews in Chicago.

     He has produced the 3D animation effects for a Wesley Snipes, Amen Ra Films produced documentary on Egypt; 8 Bold Souls: Last Option, and Enhanced CD project for the Thrill Jockey Records jazz group, 8 Bold Souls, a top rated best selling Amazon.com Best of 2000 CD; designed and implemented an interactive animated project for the New Caledonia Office de Poste et Telecommunications in Noumea, New Caledonia, South Pacific.

     He also did production work for Big Idea(http://bigidea.com), Larry Boy and the Rumor Weed Site (http://www.larry-boy.com) and shot additional assets for the Kino International release of Daughters of the Dust DVD released in February 2000.

     Floyd's work in mobile media includes promotional work for Nokia's 15 second of Frame promotion in summer of 2003 with Raindance Film Festival. His production "In Passing" was featured with promotional films on newly purchased phones. In 20011-12 is has been assisting FLW, International in developing Augmented Reality channels and a music and combat sports channel for global mobile distribution.

He also works with foreign film companies handling local production/coordination and management for HD video and film shoots with foreign production companies and does research work for SofremCom, the interactive division of France Telecom with their multidisciplinary and multicultural teams providing consultancy in strategy and marketing, network engineering and information systems.
